Saudi visa questions, answered

The questions we are asked every day - answered straight, including the ones where the answer is 'not with that visa'.

Who can apply for a Saudi tourist eVisa?
Passport holders of the 72 countries on the official eligible list can apply online. Residents of GCC countries (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) can apply on their residency, and holders of valid US, UK or Schengen visas that have been used once can usually get a visa on arrival or be assessed for an eVisa. Everyone else normally travels on a sponsored visit visa - check your exact route with our eligibility checker.
How long is the Saudi tourist eVisa valid?
One year from issue, multiple entry, with stays of up to 90 days per visit. Fourteen nationalities are issued a single-entry 30-day version instead - we confirm which applies to you before you apply.
Can I perform Umrah on a tourist eVisa?
Yes, outside the Hajj season. You book your Umrah and Rawdah slots through the Nusuk app. Hajj itself always needs a Hajj visa through official channels.
How long does processing take?
Most straightforward eVisas are decided within a few working days. Sponsored and embassy-route visas take longer. Apply at least two weeks before travel where you can, and never book non-refundable travel before your visa is issued.
What does it cost?
Your total is confirmed in writing before any payment, split clearly into the official government fee (which includes the mandatory medical insurance) and our service fee. There are no hidden charges added later.
Do I need a hotel booking or flight ticket to apply for the eVisa?
For the standard tourist eVisa, no confirmed hotel booking or flight ticket is required at application stage. Sponsored visit visas and transit visas have their own requirements - a transit visa is issued with your Saudia or flynas ticket.
What if my nationality is not on the eVisa list?
You are not out of options. Family, personal and business visit visas are sponsored routes, and some travellers qualify through GCC residency or a US, UK or Schengen visa. Send us your details and we will tell you honestly which route fits.
Can I extend a Saudi tourist visa?
Tourist eVisas are generally not extendable in the Kingdom. Plan your stay within the 90-day limit - overstaying brings fines and future visa problems.
Is visit-saudi.ae an official government website?
No. We are a private visa assistance service operated by Brightlink Management Consultancy LLC in Dubai. The official Saudi platforms are ksavisa.sa, visa.mofa.gov.sa and visa.visitsaudi.com. We prepare, check and submit applications, and track them for you.
How do I track my application?
Every application gets a reference (for example VSA-XXXXXX). Use it with your passport number on our Track page to see your current stage, from document check to eVisa ready.
